Remembrance Unites: Serbian Youth Commemorate the Victims of Oflag VI C in Osnabrück

In December, Serbian youth from Ruma and Ravno Selo visited Lower Saxony as part of a long-standing youth exchange program. During their stay, they visited Osnabrück and laid a wreath at the Osnabrück-Eversburg cemetery to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Oflag VI C prisoner-of-war camp. The cemetery is the final resting place of Yugoslav royal officers who were held in German captivity during World War II. The commemoration honored remembrance, respect, and the enduring friendship between Serbia and Germany.

Novica Andrejić, President of the Serbian Orthodox Church Parish “Saint George” in Osnabrück, Dr. Željko Dragić, and Milenko Nedeljkov, together with the children, lay a wreath.
